2.August.2007
It is with deep regret that we must announce that A.C.T will be unable to appear at the much troubled Subtacto Festival in Norway this Saturday, August 4th.

There has been much speculation in recent days about the fate of the event and rumours finally became fact when firstly Pendragon, followed by Threshold
announced they could not appear due to the festival being in financial difficulties.

A.C.T performed in Oslo at a Subtacto promoted event in March and despite difficulties with the show, we have remained loyal to supporting the
promoters who must be applauded in their attempts to bring good music to Oslo.

Sadly it appears lack of ticket sales have brought the show down and whilst we have worked closely with the promoter to overcome many significant problems in recent weeks, with just 24 hours prior to travel, the festival are unable to meet even our travel expenses and regretfully, A.C.T cannot therefore travel to Oslo to perform.

The band would like to thank everyone who has supported the festival and especially our fans who had made plans to travel.

This decision has been incredibly hard to make and we are sure you can appreciate the position the band have been placed in.

Tickets can be refunded by contacting the festival on
admin@subtacto.com

European Tour Road Report 6
Day six and we are rumbling across Germany on the bus and winter has returned as we are surrounded by deep snow. As this is written, the band are relaxing with the crew watching a movie ('Robinhood, Men in Tights') and there is much laughter.

Despite all the problems we have faced and overcome on this tour, the mood has never been more positive in A.C.T World.

More 'Road Reports' soon...

April 2007
European Tour Road Report 5

After a late night meal in Bercy, we returned to our bus for the last time at 3am to grab a few hours sleep before the 'starship' of the bus fleet would arrive in just a few hours to take us to Verviers in Belgium.

With the bus 'load in' completed, we said farewell to Oli and hello to Andre and settled into the double decker, loaded with multi screen TVs and enough luxuries to satisfy some of the biggest names in show business.

The Spirit Of 66 in Verviers has always been special to A.C.T - The band performed their first headline show outside of Sweden there back some five years before.

Francis the owner was on hand to greet us and it was good to see our friend once again. More travelling A.C.Tors were a welcome site and Thomas Knapp's smiling face is always good to see.

It was clear as the band took to the stage that many musicians were in the crowd.
They listened intently and studied the performance, but as the show progressed they became more vocal and seemed intent on out applauding the previous shows.

The band really let themselves go and threw in some new twists to the performance and by the end of the set, it was clear the crowd would not be satisfied with just two encore songs - a good five minutes passed and still they screamed for more.

Finally the band returned to the stage and powered through a second rendition of Take It Easy as the crowd partied the night away.

Once again, Dave on merchandise was swamped by fans after the show and the band joined in to sign cds, posters etc and talk to everyone on hand.

As with so many shows on this tour, Graham went into meetings and left the venue with future shows already on offers and with the announcement today of a
third
Norwegian show in 2007
, the band and the live show is finally gaining the attention
it so richly deserves!

European Tour Road Report 4
Monday morning is a Call In Dead day and for us, it was not to be an exception.
Our bus had been plagued by issues, but our driver Oli had worked hard to over come them for us and was a real joy to have as part of the team.

Parked at the front of the Eurotunnel train, we arrived in Calais, France only to find the bus had given up the ghost and was dead.

Once again we found ourselves the subject of a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons as 200 cars were blocked in behind us!

It took 30 minutes before the bus was finally towed out of the way to a local gas station. Oli was looking worried and Graham was on the phone to the bus company trying to resolve the situation.

After 3 long hours, a mechanic arrived who spoke only French and we communicated via sign language while he crawled around under the bus pulling large chunks of metal from the underside - it was not looking good....

So, we waited and we waited and Graham had the phone fixed to his ear with calls to the promoter, the booking agent, the bus company and to Roger the promotions guy on the ground in Paris.

It was getting very tense, almost six hours had gone by and we had not moved and there was a very real danger that Paris would be cancelled.

A new bus was being sent to Paris and another was being sought after to try and get us to Paris, when finally our 'Spinal Tap' bus burst back into life and we faced a mad dash to a very important show.

With the venue in a small side street of central Paris, plans were put in place for all hands on deck as we would arrive with under one hour to go to the doors opening.

We'd like to thank the venue staff, our French A.C.Tors Club members and the promotions team for assisting us in our Formula One style load in that must have been a record.

So we made it, JUST and the band took to the stage at an almost sold out venue and with a very passionate French crowd before them, we were set for a very special night.

The band were on fire and the tensions of the day were already a distant memory - Paris has always been good to A.C.T and the love affair seems to grow each visit.

At the end of the set, the crowd erupted and were ready to bring the house down long after the band had left the stage - a special show indeed and one that so nearly did not happen.

The attending press were full of praise for the band's performance and we know we will return to France soon for more shows...

European Tour Road Report 3
Day 3 and we are on the south coast of England in Poole.
A new venue to A.C.T, called Mr Kyps and Craig from Click 2 Rock was on hand to greet everyone.

The house sound technician arrived 90 minutes late putting the  sound check on the back foot and after a 'discussion' about who would take the sound during the show, Jimmy was again in charge.

With the doors due to open, due to the delays, the band were still on stage, but with the travelling A.C.Tors club waiting at the door, it was not long before Bilston, the Tiffield Twins and Wilkie were camped out at the front of the stage.

Tonight was not going to be different from any other night, with problems laying in wait, ready to pounce...and the gremlins came early.

Track one, Abandoned World saw Peter loose his bass amp for the first time ever, but he played on until it mysteriously reappeared at the end of the track.

Track two, Take It Easy saw a power blip that was a hint of worse to come as just after the start of Mr Landlord, the band were plunged into darkness and the PA died - complete power outage...

The crew ran around with the local techs and power was soon restored and while the band played on, Graham worked behind the scenes to ensure there were no more interruptions - thankfully there were not.

While the crowd was not as large as had been hoped, they were easily the most vocal and led by the A.C.Tors Club, they bounced around and sang louder than the PA - sterling stuff guys!

Many new friends were made and it's been good to see some of them already appearing on the forum, so if you haven't already joined us at the forum or at our MySpace, please do stop by and join in the fun.

European Tour Road Report 2
We start Today's Report with an apology.
If you happened to be caught up in a 'security alert' on the M1 north bound yesterday morning, erm, well it might have had something to do with a member of A.C.T, but we'll say no more about that shall we...?

So, to Rotherham, always "Nice to see you again" and as always they played the perfect hosts.

The support were Replica X, a great bunch of young lads and loyal A.C.T fans to boot. They played a great set minus a guitarist, so hats of to them for their 'show must go on' attitude and thanks guys for all your kind words.

Once again some very familiar faces were in the crowd and I think it is fair to see, we rocked Rotherham! None of the previous night's technical issues and while it was still not a perfectly sound performance, it was full of passion and energy and with such a great crowd, we could not fail to have a great time with you all!

....As for our "First hit of the 80's", well, hey it was just a Hermanisium!

Thank you to all those who stayed to chat after the show and for buying so much from Dave & Amy. Enjoy the discs and wear those new shirts with pride!

We spent the night on the bus in Rotherham and set off earlier than planned to Poole due to the gale force winds...and now there is talk of snow in Europe as well? - brrr!

More from us soon when the internet allows and if you have seen the show and enjoyed it, go tell everyone on the forums of the world!!!

Take It Easy!

17.March.2007
European Tour Road Report 1
Hi Everyone

Well the show is on the road and we've already had some adventures, missed flights, baggage problems, bus problems - but hey, it's only Rock 'n' Roll and we like it!

It's great to be back as a team again and with new crew members Jimmy (sound) and Oli (driver) we are having great fun together.

Last night saw the tour opener in Helmond, not the largest of crowds which sadly always seems to be the case in Holland for us, BUT they were very enthusiastic and it was great to see so many old friends so early in the tour.

The show itself was a typical first night, lots of nerves vs a lot of excitement, some shaky moments vs some stunning new moments and then the sound for the band on stage was, shall we be polite and say, it was not good?....No, to be honest, the local sound crew let us down badly and the sound as the band heard it was appalling, how they played, I do not know, so problems and mistakes were going to happen,
but the band had fun and battled on and by the look and sound of it, so did you guys. Thanks for bearing with us.

So, we left Holland in the middle of the night and were all woken at 5.30 by some overly official Customs people in Calais who seemed to be rude to everyone (on all the busses they stopped, not just us) which made it all quite surreal
at that hour.

The bus stopped just north of Milton Keynes for a few hours and I had to dive back to the office to do yet more work before I rejoin the crew for tonight's show in Rotherham.

An old favourite of ours and we know we will see more familiar faces and old friends and the band are determined to make the show as perfect as possible, so if we see you later - come and say "hi"

Finally, on the tour we have LOTS of new material for sale, so come prepared!

Landlord
Waltz With Mother Nature
No Longer Touching The Ground
